You’re not married, don’t make the mistake of thinking he owes you anything but child support. He’s only your boyfriend. That baby doesn’t make a big difference to him, it’s obvious. Sorry but you should of thought of things like this before you spread your legs for him. Sigh…another baby born out of wedlock. That poor child.

This guy is irresponsible. I mean your first child and he will not be there during your obstetric ultrasound. This is sad. His mother too should not condone with his irresponsibility. She seems also not to care. I sense he has an immature mind too when it comes to his responsibility.
Most men are just for the sex, during pregnancy they treat their women like dirty rags.
3 weeks vacation is too much, when you need the support of him that got you pregnant. His mom paid for the ticket. She encourages him to leave you in that state. She do not care a bit.
Darling you are not blowing this out of proportion. You are alone and need his loving care. It is fun when couples go to the doctor and your boyfriend becomes enthusiastic on your first ultrasound.
He is not a man yet.

Yeah, I think you are blowing it out of proportion a little. I understand; it’s your first baby and everything is special for you; you feel that it should be special for him, as well.
Actually, if he was going to go anywhere for three weeks, it’s better that he go now, than go when you are close to delivery; THAT would be inexcusable.
Are you two sort of young? I ask because his mom bought a ticket for him to go on a three week vacation with her. Just curious: how’s your relationship with her?
A lot depends on how you got pregnant – Was it planned? Was he happy and excited about it, or freaked out? A guy who is really happy and excited doesn’t miss the first ultrasound, but maybe he is just not an emotional person.
You know him and we don’t, so you are going to have to go on his future actions. Maybe he just wanted to get away to get his head around the fact that he is going to be a dad. But if he keeps doing things like this as time goes on, you need to have a serious talk with him about his commitment level.
