Hire an attorney. Unfortunately, as far as your creditors, all they care about is that one of you pay and whatever bills have both names…if he isn’t paying..you will have to. There is no guarantee that if he is found he will pay the bills. My ex was court ordered to pay, but never did and I had to. It sucked. You’ve got a few options depending on how far you want to go and a few other factors. The most reasonable I would think is bringing him into court to discuss this. Unfortunately I’m not familiar with international laws concerning this, so this actually may or may not be an option. You could go and track him down yourself. It’s real easy to track people down these days. You could also just move to a house that’s cheaper and you’re more comfortable with. That’s all I can come up with for the moment.
