Debutante director Arun Bhaskar’s Parayaan Marannathu revolves around the life of a tailor Chandran (Biju Menon) in a small village called Kannadipuzha. Chandran, a man of simplicity, is kind and lovable and is deeply attached to his family, comprising his wife Rema and daughter Maalu. Chandran has a neighbour Madhavi, who washes clothes for a living and has a very unpleasant past. After her husband left her, she came to Kannadipuzha village with a determination to take over the responsibility of bringing up her daughter Gauri, who is now a plus-two student. Manikantan, a young man in the village, always tries to help Madhavi and Gauri. Into this situation comes another young guy, who brings a dramatic change in the life of Gauri, forming the climax of the film.
