We are not divorced as of yet, but he has never called me since he left. Today in the mail I received his change of address form. I was having a good day until I received that. Why did that effect me so? It makes sense that he changed his address but it seems like all the pain came back. How can I still be getting these set backs? Anyone gone through this?
You spent 17 years together…that’s a long time. The change of address confirmation told you that everything was really ending, and he was serious about closing the door…that would hurt. It is ok to grieve….
17 years is a long time to be with someone and then just to call it quits after that. It’s natural for the pain and hurt to come back because you loved him so much. It’s official that you two are broke up and you just need to pray about the situation and try to move on. Maybe you can find you a nice guy to spend some time with you .
It is like losing a loved one. You will see things that will remind you of him. Just remember the good times and that your better then him. He broke your heart and being 17 years your heart can’t believe it’s over. Just go on and be happy for yourself. Try going out with some friends. I kinda know what your going through my dad left and I planned to take him to the movies but he blow it off. So know I don’t talk to him much. I see things I want to buy him and just think he doesn’t deserve it.

Don’t worry so much..time will tell the truth of whatever is going on right now…. try to do different things that will take your mind away….be happy, forgive him, even he did not ask or give you a reason of why he is leaving you…sometimes is better that way….trust in GOD and Pray for hope and comfort..I know is not easy…but is a decision not an emotion…. decide to forgive and be happy…for your own health and mind…..GOD BLESS!!!
