Question by : i am so upset by what he said please help?
i really could do with some sympathetic advice here please.
ok a guy started at my job 7 months ago-we quickly became close friends-i did and still do fancy him. i have supported him hes had a rough time recently-his wife left last year. ive been trying to do my best to help him and support him-he rings me always and i always help. whenever we’ve been to break ive always got the food/drinks-hes always been slow to offer-if at all. and ive also noticed im not sure if hes lying hes always boasting about his 60k savings even though hes got 4 lots of maintanance to pay-4 kids and says he owns 3 houses abroad and is thinking of buying a 350k house in london-hes in the same job as me ???
anyway last night it all went wrong i suppose i was trying to see how he felt and he turned around and said to me. “i can see you like to look after people and you do this but if we were ever together i find you would suffocate me-i was mortified and was distraught when i got home i just quickly said bye and shot off-felt so humiliated. i dont know why he said that-hes always been happy for me to pay and stuff and then he says this i feel such a fool

To me he is showing a lack of appreciation you didn’t have to do anything for him but you did out of the kindness of your heart. If he doesn’t appreciate what you have done for him so far he’s not going to appreciate you in a relationship. Find someone who has a good heart like you do.
