Question by kat_xk8: Is it fair of god to “call anyone to be single” ?
People almost playing devils advocate suggested to me “what if god called you to be single” – my life has nothing of being left out and left behind – to be left out yet again is nor ok
what if god called people to be single – is that really fair of god or consistent of god such ad Its not good for man to be Alone – also he that findeth a wife findeth a good thing and findeth favor with lord – I cor 7 mention no favor with for lord for remaining single per Pauls request -
if I’m single that should be my choice having a real choice between a real man to marry or single –
there are Christians our there saying god inspired Paul in 1 cor 7 but Paul said
god did not – conclusion is it fair of god to call people or is this concept yet another man made batch of nonsense?
I too know this is a copout – but I’m unnatractuve but never use god calling as copout – but as the first person said it’s my life my decision so I will reject your advice lol
In response to the 2nd answer – I’m not voluntarily single, don’t think being single is neat and what are saints ??? dead Christians or catholic idols lol

The excuse “god called him/her to be single” is just an excuse for unattractive people who can’t get a date, or unsociable people who can’t maintain a relationship…
If you want to be married and you’re not, take a good look at *why* you’re not married, and make some changes. It’s your life and your decision.
Peace.

Marriage is a vocation.
Religious Life is a vocation.
Single life is a vocation.
In fact, the majority of the Saints were single. Neat huh?
If you are in Adam, everything is on the table according to natural life in the flesh! Men and woman marry. Woman and woman marry and men marry men and some would marry animals if they could. If you are “in Christ” by the new birth, they you are FREE in Christ to do as you will according to the will of God which is led by the Holy Spirit. Your questions are great and thoughtful but I wish you would say whether you are “in Christ” by being born again or if you are in Adam by natural birth. In Christ, you are in an INVISIBLE Kingdom adn the rules change when you are under a King. If you are in Adam, the god of this world is the Devil and your back is to the Kingdom of Christ and you are simply walking away from the Kingdom of Christ in the flesh. People in the flesh, generally do what they want, suffer the consequences adn never know it is because they have turned their back on the Holy Kingdom.
